TECHNICAL SEO AUDIT

WordPress SEO Audit Service

Find out what is holding your WordPress website back in Google. We check the technical settings, plugins, templates and pages that affect crawling, indexing and rankings, then explain what to fix first.

When a WordPress SEO audit makes sense

WordPress makes publishing easy, but a single setting, plugin or theme can quietly stop pages from performing in search. An audit is worth it when:

  • Traffic or rankings have dropped and you do not know why.
  • Important pages are missing from Google or show the wrong URL.
  • You have changed theme, hosting, domain or SEO plugin recently.
  • The site feels slow, or Search Console keeps reporting issues.
  • You want a clear list of what to fix before spending more on content or ads.

What we check

Crawling and indexing

Robots.txt, the “Discourage search engines” setting, noindex tags, XML sitemaps, and how Google reports your pages in Search Console. We look for pages that should be indexed but are not, and pages that should not be indexed but are.

WordPress-specific issues

SEO plugin configuration, permalink settings, category, tag, author and attachment pages, pagination, and duplicate URLs created by themes or plugins.

Redirects and canonical URLs

Redirect chains and loops, broken internal links, mixed HTTP and HTTPS or www and non-www versions, and canonical tags that point to the wrong page.

On-page signals

Page titles, meta descriptions, heading structure, internal links and whether each important page clearly matches what people are searching for.

Speed and Core Web Vitals

Page weight, images, heavy plugins or page builders, caching, and the Core Web Vitals data available for your site.

Structured data and site health

Schema markup, 404 errors, suspicious or spam URLs, and other signals that may affect how search engines understand and trust the site.

What you receive

  • Prioritised findings: what to fix first, what can wait, and what is not worth worrying about.
  • Plain-English explanations of each issue and why it matters.
  • Practical next steps you can hand to your developer, or ask us to carry out.

How it works

  1. Discover: tell us about your website and goals through the free audit form.
  2. Audit: we review the site and, where you grant access, Google Search Console and analytics.
  3. Optimise: you choose whether to fix issues yourself or have us fix them. Fix work is quoted after we have reviewed the site.
  4. Monitor: we check that the changes are picked up by search engines.

Honest expectations

An audit shows what is getting in the way; it does not guarantee rankings. Search results depend on competition, content and many factors outside any website owner’s control. We focus on fixing the technical problems you can control.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the first audit really free?

Yes. Send your website through the free SEO audit form and we review it at no cost. If you would like us to fix the issues we find, we quote that work separately.

Do you need my WordPress password?

Not for the audit. We start from the public website. If you want us to review Search Console or analytics, you can add us as a user in those tools. Never send passwords through the form or live chat.

Does the audit only cover WordPress?

The checks are designed around WordPress, but most of them, such as indexing, redirects, metadata and speed, apply to any website. Tell us your platform in the form.

Will fixing the issues get me to page one of Google?

No one can honestly promise that. Fixing technical issues removes obstacles so your pages can be crawled, indexed and understood properly, which gives your content a fair chance to compete.
