INDEXING ISSUES FIXED

Google Search Console and Indexing Help

Pages “Discovered – currently not indexed”, “Crawled – currently not indexed” or excluded for reasons you do not understand? We find out why Google is not indexing the pages of your WordPress website or Shopify store, and fix what is in your control.

Common Search Console messages we help with

  • Discovered – currently not indexed: Google knows the URL but has not crawled it yet.
  • Crawled – currently not indexed: Google visited the page but decided not to index it, often a content quality or duplication signal.
  • Excluded by ‘noindex’ tag: a setting, plugin or template is telling Google to stay away.
  • Duplicate without user-selected canonical and Alternate page with proper canonical tag: several URLs show the same content.
  • Page with redirect, Not found (404) and Soft 404: broken or misleading URLs in links and sitemaps.
  • Blocked by robots.txt and Server error (5xx): Google cannot reach the page at all.

How we work

  1. Access without passwords: you add us as a user in Google Search Console, so no login details need to be shared.
  2. Diagnose: we review the Page indexing report, inspect sample URLs, and compare them with your sitemap, internal links, canonical tags, redirects and robots rules.
  3. Find the cause: we separate technical blockers, such as noindex, redirects or server errors, from pages Google simply does not see as valuable enough yet.
  4. Fix: we correct settings, sitemaps, canonical tags and internal links, or give your developer precise instructions.
  5. Validate: we request indexing for key pages, start validation in Search Console and track the result.

WordPress and Shopify specifics

WordPress: indexing problems often come from the “Discourage search engines” setting, SEO plugin noindex rules, theme or plugin duplicate URLs, and redirects left over from migrations.

Shopify: Shopify creates the sitemap automatically, but products are reachable through several URLs, filtered and tagged collection pages can multiply, the robots.txt can only be changed through the theme, and apps can add pages or scripts you did not plan for. We check how these affect what Google indexes in your store.

Not every page should be indexed

Tag archives, filters, search results and thin duplicate pages are often better left out of Google. Part of the job is deciding which pages deserve to be indexed and making sure those pages are strong, unique and well linked.

Honest expectations

Google decides what it indexes and when. We remove the technical reasons a page is being ignored and improve the signals Google uses, but we cannot force a page into the index or promise a date. Validation in Search Console can take days to weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is my new page not showing in Google?

New pages can take time to be crawled and indexed. If it has been weeks, check the URL in Search Console’s URL Inspection tool. A noindex tag, a wrong canonical, a missing internal link or a sitemap problem is often the cause.

What does “Crawled – currently not indexed” mean?

Google has visited the page but chose not to add it to the index for now. It is usually about the page’s value or duplication rather than a technical error, so the fix is often improving or consolidating the content.

Can you help if I have not set up Search Console?

Yes. We can guide you through verifying your website in Google Search Console and submitting your sitemap, so you have the data needed to diagnose indexing problems.

Do you need my Google password?

No. You add us as a user from within Search Console, and you can remove that access at any time.
